tearing occurs, to Grade 3, which indicates a complete

and bruising. All Grades are often accompanied by
involuntary muscle contractions that impede healing.
These physical injuries are very painful and distress
is alleviated by the analgesic action of Soma, while
the relaxant in the medication stops the involuntary
contraction of the muscles---muscle spasms--- surrounding

As soon after the injury as possible, it is wise
to cool the affected area with ice or cold water,
to stop hemorrhaging. Ideally, a treatment of ice
and warm water at twenty-minute intervals would
be implemented immediately after the injury occurs.
Also, elevation of the joint and immobilization
will speed recovery. After the pain and swelling
subsides, a program of gentle exercising should
be started.
How Soma Works
Soma works in two ways. One part of the formulation
operates through the central nervous system to relax
and prevent excess muscle tone or contraction and
another component is an analgesic, a pain-relieving
medication.
Administration of Soma
This medication is taken orally. To avoid stomach
upset take your prescribed dosage with, or just
after, meals whenever possible. If you cannot take
your dosage during or immediately following a meal,
then ingest with milk. It is recommended that only
those over12 years of age should use this medication.
What if I Miss a Dose?
If you realize within sixty minutes of the specified
time that you have forgotten to take your Soma,
simply take the missed dose and continue with your

to “catch up” by taking a double dose

Possible Reactions
Some patients experience fever, weakness, dizziness,
vertigo and drowsiness when taking Soma. This reaction
is usually experienced during the first to fourth
dose by patients with no prior contact with this

when engaging in activities that need alertness,
such as operating machinery, or driving a vehicle.
Other reactions can include tremors, irritability,
agitation, sleeping difficulties, skin disorders,
eye discomfort and hypertensive irritability.
Storage
Soma keeps its medicinal properties best when stored
in a cool, dry place in a suitably sealed container.
Ideally, room temperature should remain between
60 and 86 degrees
